Stuttgart: The Sister City of Mumbai

The Wine village at Stuttgart, known as the Sister City of Mumbai is known for its wine, women and songs. There are over 300 varieties of German wines, with the air filled with the sound of music, performers, and the rejoicing carnival.

One could go and visit the vineyards which are right in the heart of the city, legendary churches and castles and flea markets where things are available for as less as one Euro. There’s a delightful dinner available at Stuttgart Staffele.

A visit to Baden-Baden, known as the spa country with many Roman baths that leave you refreshed, is a must-do as is the tour of the city through old-world streets, houses, cafes and shops, casinos and churches. One can also go to the Oos River, art museums, theatre and hot water springs.  Those looking for Indian food can visit a quaint Indian eatery Namaskaar, for their spread of Chiken tikka, Naan, Masala Chai and Rogan Josh.

A visit to Europa Park is like visiting different European countries with their different themes. The Hohenzolern Castle on the Swabian Alb with its candle chandeliers, family tree portraits, chapel and cellar makes a delightful experience. Stuttgart being the birthplace of the motor car, no visit can be complete without a visit to the Mercedes- Benz museum. Other places to visit are the marvelous Ludwigsburg Palace and Amish Castle. It’s just a half hour flight from Frankfurt to Stuttgart so don’t ever miss this fairyland like destination if you happen to be in Europe.
